August Garden

Here we have an over-enthusiastic garden
Having entered, you look across to these Hostas and the shrub.

Turn around and you will see these two Potentillas. They are just an example of the many, mostly self-seeded, Potentillas that there are around the garden.

What an over-enthusiastic mass of growth. The rose, Isfhan, that is growing up the thing left of centre, is pretty well over for this year, having been the best ever.

This Astilbe is marvellous this wet year. Better than I have ever seen it

The Herbaceous border is being very enthusiastic!

A study in pink

And another in white.

The productive vegetable garden.

Withy, your garden is marvelous as we enter late summer. I so wish that I could see a video tour of this beautiful place, narrated by you, of course!

Astilbe like it damp, so I'm not surprised they're doing well this summer!

In a word... GORGEOUS.!

You have such a pretty garden Withy, pictures are really lovely. I used to have Potentilla's in our old house, and I love those study of pink flowers you have Withy.

Thank you for sharing with us.

Withy, it's beautiful! The gardens are very blowsy and heavy this year - I suppose it's all the rain and warmth.
And I liked your seven, below, although I can just not imagine you being lazy. And as for the last line - no you're not, you're very lovely indeed. Just to the point!

Simply beautiful. The Astilbe looks like a puffy pink cloud hovering over the herbaceous border!

Shewing pictures of a TIDY garden with CUT grass is I think "cruel and unusual punishment" It is possible that someone will report you to an appropriate petty vindictive body set up by the Minister for Agriculture, and your punishment will be to come and tidy up my forlorn and abandoned plot Will meet you from the coach.

What a gorgeous garden Withy, I also rather like the look of lovely stone house we catch the odd glimpse of.

Hello Withy - it is my first time visit here via Tattie Weasle - your garden is beautiful. I had a most enjoyable time scolling back through older very interesting posts and found 31st March "Life Between the Wars" absolutely fascinating. Thank-you!
