My garden, pictures taken on 2nd Sept.

Not a lot to see this September, but I took a few pictures.

First we have this years picture of the lilies from which my avatar came.

A couple of years ago I scattered some poppy seed from a friend in the lily bed. This year these lovely double red offspring appeared in the cleared bed by the arbour

The herbaceous border looks thoroughly over grown and lacking in colour.

The bed with the lilies, seen from a different direction. The Smoke bush is really misty this year - it has not flowered like this before.
Lastly we have the current view from the arbour, where I sit when ever I can find an excuse and often when I can't

Withy, I really enjoyed that tour around your beautiful garden. I can understand why you love that arbor...how refreshing to be there and to be able to contemplate the gorgeous surroundings.

(You and nature make a good team!)

I think nature is winning at the moment!!

Thanks for this, Withy. You gardeners are so clever. How you make things grow where you want them too is quite amazing. Any fool can plant but actually taking the plants to maturity is another matter. I imagine proper gardeners must simply forbid slugs and aphids and blight and excess acid or alkali from entering the garden. Still when all's said and done there are always foxgloves and nasturtiums.

Such a garden. Wish I could do five per cent as well.

Hear! Hear! Rob Bear! Wonderful photos Withy of your fabulous garden. Hoping one day that hard work in my garden may bear such fruits...

My problem is...I would mess up taking a picture of a concrete block...honestly. I do love viewing God's creation as captured through the camera of others and you have done that quite well.I have added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit my blog and become a follower also.
